DESCRIPTION:
Enjoy a delicious Sunflower Seed Cheese, using wholesome sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast, and a blend of aromatic herbs and spices. Perfect for vegans, lactose intolerant folks or anyone seeking a healthier cheese option.
INGREDIENTS:
2 Cups raw sunflower seeds (soaked & drained for at least 2 hours)
2-3 Tablespoons unfortified nutritional yeast
2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 Teaspoon organic non-gmo low sodium white miso paste
1 Teaspoon garlic powder
1 Teaspoon onion powder
1 Teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 Teaspoon ground turmeric powder
1 Tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar
2 Teaspoon Bensons table tasty salt substitute
1/2 cup of water
PREPARATION:
1-Soak sunflower seeds in enough water to cover for at least 2 hours. Drain sunflower seeds, discard water, and add to a food processor fitted with an “S” blade.
2-Add all the remaining ingredients to the food processor.
3-Blend until smooth.
4-Place in a bowl, cover and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least a few hours. Enjoy
