DESCRIPTION:
Here’s a twist on traditional hummus-a rich and creamy Vegan Oil-Free Brownie Batter Hummus! This decadent yet wholesome treat is completely guilt free, made with nourishing ingredients that satisfy your sweet tooth without any compromise. Perfectly smooth, chocolaty and naturally sweetened, it’s delicious enjoyed by the spoonful or paired with your favorite fresh fruit.
INGREDIENTS:
2-15oz. can garbanzo beans, rinsed & drained
1/4 cup tahini
1/2 cup cacao powder or carob powder
1/3 cup date syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
1/2 cup soy milk, or more to reach your desired consistency (after adding a 1/2 cup, 1 tablespoon at a time to reach desired consistency)
PREPARATION:
1-Rinse and drain the chickpeas. While rinsing the chickpeas, remove the skin as much as possible.
2-Place everything except the cacao powder in a food processor fitted with a n “S” blade. Process for about 1 minute until you reach a smooth batter.
3-Add the cacao powder to the batter. Blend for another minute until everything is well incorporated. Stopping along the way to scrape down the sides.
4-Let the batter cool in the refrigerator before serving. It will thicken up a bit and the chocolate flavor will continue to develop. Serve with fresh fruits.
